This engine consists of following main assembly unit:

- Axial-centrifugal compressor (6 stages - axial and 1stage - centrifugal);

- Annular combustion chamber with rotating fuel nozzle;

- Axial-flow two-stage compressor turbine;

- Axial-flow two-stage free turbine;

- Fast-running reduction gearbox (single-stage with intermediate wheel);

- Transmission;

- Propeller reduction gearbox (single-stage planetary);

- Accessory drive gearbox;

- Aircraft accessory drive gearbox (contains 3 drives of: alternating-current generator, propeller brake, propeller tachometer generator);

- Electrical wiring harness;

- Oil tank (enters in airplane standard build-in).

 

During the beginning 80 - 90th years the engine serial production is organized in oland at the "WSK-Zheshuv" and "WSK-Kalish" plants. There are manufactured about only 500 engines. Since 1992 overhaul of the engine is performed in the OEDB and on the end of 2004 there are repaired 190 engines. Repair is performed under own repair documentation and repair manufacture is certificated on AP-145 and FAP-145.
